Molinillos
This collection is a fusion of design, art and traditional Mexican craft. The tables are a tribute to an important work of Mexican culture, the “Molinillo”. These pieces explore through forms, materials and techniques a way to re-think and re-value the concept of the word craft. Traditional Molinillos inspire the finish. Each table leg is turned manually; the intense black colour is achieved by charring the wood. The table top, inspired by another ancient technique, is ebonized with iron acetate. The three tables are then finished with linseed oil.
