Role: Research, Development & Production Medium: Weaving “Threads of Departures” captures the memories of my last home, Mexico City, and the inspiration San Francisco has brought to my practice. This piece became a joyful escape during the tumultuous time of my migration to the United States. It incorporates rug-making, tapestry, and double-cloth weaving techniques, blending tradition with personal narrative to reflect a journey shaped by place, transition, and resilience. These pieces, emphasize construction and geometry, revealing how tension, density, and layering define their architectural presence.
